Downtown Negaunee's Oktoberfest 2019

Downtown Negaunee’s 4th Annual Oktoberfest is happening Saturday October 5th 2019!!!!

Save the Date !!! Saturday, October 5th 2019…Downtown Negaunee’s hosting their family friendly fall festival with some German Festivities added in as well as our local night life crowd to spend time with in the evening.

We will be featuring live music, a beer tent, & Adult Costume Contests- (Men’s Lederhosen Costume) Ladies’ (Fraulein Costume) & Best Couple (Oktoberfest Drinking Costume).
A Stein Holding Contest, Wiener Hot Dog Eating Contest, Pumpkin & Apple Pie Baking Contests, & A Fall Basket Raffle of which 50% of the proceeds will be contributed towards the Negaunee Public Library for their Children’s Programs Benefit & 50% will be donated to the Downtown Negaunee Business Events Benefit. Local Businesses will be featuring tons of specials on drink, food, & product, as well as displays of German Inspired Ware.

We will have a great Kid’s Fun Zone area with Bouncy houses & kids games with prizes to win, pumpkin painting booths & activities, & a Community “Children’s Costumes On Display” Parade at 3pm- any child 12 years old or younger who would like to show off their Halloween Costume Early or have another opportunity to wear it besides once a year are welcome to show up right in front of the Center Music stage on Iron Street 10 mins before 3pm.

Ps. Every child who wants to be in the parade will get a free gift just for participating !!!
New this year is our “Wiener Dog Walking Parade”- anyone willing to show off their beloved Pet Companion is encouraged to show up at the Center Music stage on Iron Street 10 mins before 2pm for line up.

Street Vendors are certainly welcome to join us here on Iron Street. The cost is $20 a 10ft by 12ft spot. If you need a tent & 6ft table- its an extra $15. Any additional tables you might need are $7 each, & we do have limited electricity available- just give me a call to reserve it as soon as possible. Call Hanna (906)362-1426, or message the Downtown Negaunee Association page on Facebook to email you a vendors application… all vendor applications must be turned into Hanna’s Tea Times with payment at – 405 Iron Street, Negaunee, MI 49866- by September 28th 2019. No late applications will be accepted.

Those of you interested in baking a pie for the contest- please give Hanna a call (906)362-1426 or message me through the Downtown Negaunee Association page on Facebook. Please bring the pie in a throw away container – we will be serving the delicious pie slices to anyone who would like to try a slice there after the contest is over. Coffee & Cider will be added 😉 All contests times will be given a time & a day schedule will be created soon- so stay tuned for more details…. Ps. Winners take home some fun prizes !!!! 1st, 2nd, & 3rd Placements
